Le 8 mars dernier, J'ai eu le plaisir (devrais-je dire la chance aux vues des circonstances) de chanter pour la première fois au le Festival international Harpe en Avesnois avec la magnifique Mélanie Dutreil, magnifique musicienne à la puissante et touchante musicalité et chambriste hors pair. C'est un bonheur d'avoir une telle connexion avec mes collègue de scène et j'en garde un souvenir vibrant. De telles expériences sont infiniment précieuses à garder bien près du coeur et donnent du courage pour traverser des temps étranges et inédits.
Ce concert était aussi l'occasion de retrouver une formation trio qui m'est chère aux côtés de mon splendide hautboïste et père David Walter.
Après nos concerts de l'été aux côtés de Patrick Ayrton au clavecin, nous continuons l'exploration de ce qui rassemble hautbois et voix en nous associant au timbre de la harpe pour un programme aux couleurs inattendues et toutes romantiques, courant des Romances sans paroles de Mendelssohn à l'air bien connu de Bellini "O quante volte". On the 8th of March, I had the great pleasure (circonstances make me say the luck too) to sing for the first time at the Avesnois international Harp Festival with Mélanie Dutreil, wonderful musician with a powerful and touching musicality, a sense of chamber music and total connexion with colleagues on stage. I keep a strong memory of this beautiful last concert before a strange and intense time we're all living through right now. Such an experience is so precious to keep close to heart in this strange and unprecedented situation.
This concert was an opportunity to reunite a dear trio formation with the wonderful oboist and father, David Walter, on our side.
After the summer 2019's concerts with the brilliant harpsichordist Patrick Ayrton, we keep on exploring what brings voice and oboe together. This time associating the harp timber to the formation. From Mendelssohn Songs Without Words (Lieder ohne Worte) to the famous Bellini aria "oh quante volte", the program reveals romantic, unusual and charming colours.
